TRIBELLA TRIATHLON SWIM COURSES
The triathlon course for the TriBella Sprint Triathlon will take place at Cherry Creek Reservoir (East Side at Smoky Hill Beach), offering breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains only miles away. Beginners swim wave in both the sprint and super sprint events. Note: Beginner wave competitors not eligible for age-group awards.
SPRINT (1/2 Mile): The swim course is triangle shaped, with the swimmers traveling in a counter clockwise direction. Once you exit the beach you'll run 50m on sand and then another 50m on carpet to the transition area. Yes you read that correctly the path from the beach to the T/A will be CARPETED!!! The water temperature at Cherry Creek Reservoir normally ranges between mid to high 70s this time of year. Wetsuits will be legal!
SUPER SPRINT: This course will also be triangle shaped, but athletes will head in after the middle (yellow) buoy, instead of completing the full triangle.
TRIBELLA TRIATHLON BIKE COURSES
The triathlon course for the TriBella Sprint and Super Sprint Triathlon will take place Cherry Creek Reservoir, offering breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains only miles away.
SPRINT (10 Miles): The bike course is 10 miles long and all takes place within the park, offering a very safe environment. The course will feature two long out and back sections, with some rolling hills, but is mostly flat and fast!
SUPER SPRINT (8 Miles): This bike course will mirror the same roads as the sprint course, only athletes will hit an earlier turn around point on the long out and back section!
TRIBELLA TRIATHLON RUN COURSES
The triathlon run course for the TriBella Triathlon will take place on the trail system of Cherry Creek State Park
SPRINT (3.1m): The sprint run course will be an out and back run with an aid station at the 1 and 2 mile mark. The course is flat and fast as it gently rolls through the parks trail system.
SUPER SPRINT (2m): The super sprint run course will mirror the sprint run course with and a turn-around at the 1 mile aid station.
